im jk. major respect for Jon Jones. but tbh i have even more respect for Alexa Grasso. she tapped out the queen of the division....HUGE accomplishment for her.

Much props to Jones and not taking his victory away from him, but in both main events it was more about the other fighters evolving or not. Gane was highly suspect in getting sub. I mean Ngannou sub him and Ngannou is a pure striker. Gane didn’t look like he put any training into takedown defense. I gave Gane too much credit in evolving and providing more defense.
On the other hand, Grasso evolved where she's a striker but understood that Shev had a weakness to be exploited. In the post-fight interview, Grasso explained that she timed Shev's spinning back kick where Grasso was able to pounce on Shev's back and get the sub. So Grasso wasn't an experienced grappler but trained for Shev's moved and it paid big time. Based on that, Grasso win was the most impressive win of the night.
