Let's make one thing perfectly clear. Le is in a league of her own in this thread along with Sammy. I contemplated posting the photo when the thread went up and thought what the h*ll, this is a workout thread and I don't think the members would mind. I will not go too deep and bore everyone with specifics. I will say this group formed back in March of this year and we have been meeting twice a week ever since. We do take a four week break every three months. We do most things able body cross fitters do and the coaches push us. The best thing is working together. That being said thanks everyone for the likes and comments. Now I need OKC/LAC to go over 215!!!! :D
pigpen!! you will never bore us with specifics. i think it's absolutely amazing what you all do. the strength and spirit you all have to get out and work out together is incredibly inspirational. meanwhile i struggle to just go to the gym.....you are now my inspiration and motivation!! please feel free to share as many photos and stories anytime 😇

Made it to the gym today (go bears)

honestly it’s been a rough past couple of days, going through some big (ish) changes in my life rn so just trying to find a good balance 😌 feel good today

What do you think of crossfit as a workout? I've heard different things.
I really enjoy it. I did not know what to expect. The instructors are the lead professors at the med school (PT & OT). They have us slapping the big ropes, pulling weights the length of the gym forward and backward. We use the rowing and ski machines. The attrition rate is not as bad as I thought it would be. I would estimate that we have retained 85-90 percent of the original sign ups. I have the article below if anyone is interested:

gonna try some different active recovery outside of hiking. and biking and do some light tire and corebag only at gym, since come winter I'll be less able to do outdoorsy things. Will be a mental challenge to avoid the temptation to squat and do deadlifts when the blood gets flowing.

I'm part of a genetic recoding trial that give me huge strong fast and flexible muscles and I have to also submit to their penile shrinking RNA transcription trials.

so far it's really sucked to have buy a whole new cock ring and sex toy drawer AND purchase 4 new suits to fit my changing body

Don't be afraid to lift in cold weather it can be very beneficial. Remember Iceland, Norway, Finland, and Sweden have produced some good strongmen.

Heart rate naturally increases and sharpens the senses plus most people get more done in a shorter amount of time which equals better workout density. Of course it is extra stress on the heart so precautions should be taken.
Thanks for explaining, much better to hear that from a human & not iRobot Google.

What is it about being in cold weather that helps contribute to a workout ?
tried it after I came home from spun class and swimming at gym... I like barefoot, but need to build up to that. looking forward to using snow as equipment with naked backyard lumber and brick workouts knee deep in snow in a month. look out wim hof.
