"...to tax & redistribute the profits to homeowners"

This is what happens when liberals take over your energy policy.

Europe & England are facing a nearly 75% year over year increase in energy costs because they stopped using coal, nuclear and shifted to a subsidiary system of government aided "renewable" energy, that noone can afford to buy and the producers cannot afford to invest in its creation, nor provide incentive to future investors under this policy. It is pure socialism...scary stuff.

It mirrors what is occurring in California.

It's relevant to our community here because gambling is dependent upon discretionary income. If a box of Mac n Cheese costs $3 and the AC cost $500/ mo to run, then we won't have any money to gamble with.

Just your daily 'A section' update.

Hmmmmm...... Not a liberal but I believe there is one in the White House. How does that correlate to this article on gasoline prices dropping, possibly hitting $2.99 by EOY?

Really how so.....nuclear was and is best option. With California going to non gas combustion cars by 2035 how do we get the power to charge these electrical vehicles when we can't keep the power on now?
Exactly.

Plus people like Stormy fail to realize that we've borrowed $30TRILLION to subsidize this notion. How's that EVER going to be cheaper long term lol

Gas prices are dropping because we are in a recession (last 2 quarters had contracted economy) and most Stares have set aside their gas tax and lastly, Biden has sold our strategic oil reserve to the Chinese to flood the market.

In fact, crude prices are at a dangerous low level right now, I wouldn't be surprised If the WH started BUYING oil again to raise prices.

Wait.... For 18 months conservatives blamed Biden for the increasing gasoline prices and now you say he has nothing to do with gasoline prices dropping. WTH. You can't argue both ways without looking hypocritical. Either he controls the gasoline market or he doesn't. He doesn't BTW and the original blame was BS. You've lost your arguement by showing too much bias.

I'm a conservative but I guess I just don't view things as being so black and white in the arguements. I guess I'm more of a centrist-conservative.

I guess it's dependent on where you live, but startup costs to go solar are pretty expensive here in California, yet you pay basically nothing thereafter once you make the switch.

The energy cost concerns/complaints in California are mostly linked to the corrupt af gas company -- PG&E. Pretty much every citizen here hates them, and for good reason

Bidens energy policy and specifically his lack of forward thinking on both leased drilling rights & the pipeline efficiency has lead crude to spike over the past 2 years. Coupled with inflation (again, due to the $4TRILLION Biden printed & spent) lead to the FASTEST increase in price of refined products in the history of the Country.

HOWEVER, the Biden economy has CONTRACTED over the last 8 months, it's in a recession, as mirrored by the 15% drop in US equities. The last 2 quarters posted negative GDP, which means there's less demand. In addition, 11 States have suspended or set aside their gas tax, which is generally $.20-$.50 per gallon, which is about 10% of the current price. On top of that, the largest WH factor is this:

Yeah- that's right, Biden sold our petroleum reserves to a Chinese firm w links to his FUKKING SON, in an effort to flood the marketplace and drop crude prices.

However, this is the new result:

Meaning that prices will spike just as homes need distillates and other bi products for heat....

Pretty much explained it 2 bumps up.

Not complicated when contraian factors emerge in the macro sense.

It is exactly why everything might just blow up economic wise around start of Q1 2023.

Unsustainable policy merely aided by the recession- brought on by yet more poor policy.

If rates Crack 4% FFR the interest on our bond obligations alone would equal our gross receipts via taxation.

Wrong the electric company is now charging solar panel owners fees and the rates and fees have continued to rise

It's quite simple and obvious why gas prices are dropping now

Because the people in the white house right now know that everyone has had enough of the BS as the next election years
Come on dude

We all know the POTUS has basically no impact on gas prices lol if that were the case, they would drop it whenever they wanted

Price is changing because the market is correcting itself, which was bound to happen eventually
