If you just went there for a few days on vacation your perception is very different. It is just like someone coming to Vietnam for a few days. They don't see or understand anything about it. PP is awesome, BKK1 is amazing, BKK3 has some great areas. Daun Penh, and Bassac is one of the coolest areas in the country. There are hidden gems all over. If you just went for a few days and stayed centrally located your sense of it is very different.

I want to explain how different it is here. Huffing/inhaling helium is very popular here in the bars and clubs. You can't go to any bar or club without seeing groups of people sitting there holding a huge balloon inhaling it , they will sit there for hours. Of course there has been deaths and of course brain damage at times, very rare but ti does happen. But it is extremely popular here and big business. It is sold all over the place and flooded on all social media apps as well.
