I heard this on Sportsline that they had a meeting about expanding. Had no idea that they would come to a conclusion today so soon.

The NCAA money grab continues. The NCAA makes more cash, the regular season & other bowls get cheapened, and all the players get out of it is more brain damage and less time for classes.

What's the total on how long it takes them to expand from 12 to 16? 4 years?

Pretty drastic jump. Will the 8-12 seed actually ever win?? Can't see it unless the fix is in or a major injury than again these teams are different and not as experienced with so many transfers and players drafted.

rip college football regular season. there will be no excitement in regular season games unless you care about which teams are going to bubble and they have no shot to win the title anyways.

I love this format & disagree with fried cheese that this will hurt the regular season. If anything I feel like it helps the regular season because it brings in so many other teams for the potential top 12.

I think this is great. They'll give us two more weeks of football (well maybe just one since most of these 5-12 seed games will take place in a bowl game somewhere).

This is just the start. In several years it will grow to 16 then 32... etc... Just like NCAABB tourny has grown.
