We’re going to see a few midweek rounds as the season progresses but this is a really good chance to maximize recent profits by picking out a few bets in Serie A.
This is not a league that pulls the “crazies” out of the bag for me, instead of the chances of making a profit usually rely on careful selections and backing against the dogs and betting on the very best.
The first game is between Inter Milan and Sampdoria. This should be a really good game with both sides doing well in Serie A right now. Inter Milan’s strength has been in their defence but they will find it tough to keep a clean sheet against this Sampdoria side. The bookies are keeping this one quite tight but it’s not locked down so far that the value has completely disappeared. You can get BTTS (Yes) for 1.7 with Bet365 and that’s just about on the money, don’t go too much lower.
Expect to get similar odds on over 2.5 goals in the game between Atalanta and Verona. Saturday’s first game is not one that will inspire millions to tune in but these sides have seen many of their games this season end with 3 goals one way or the other, this should just follow that trend.
Roma takes on Crotone and I’m all over Roma to Win To Nil in this one. You can get 1.83 with green listed bookmakers Bet365, Ladbrokes and a couple of others. Roma should be able to build some form now after their win against Torino and this game shouldn’t hurt, they do need to start stringing some wins together.
4th placed Lazio should pick up a win against Bologna who are not in the best of form. I expected the odds to be worse and was quite happy to see Lazio priced at 1.7 with Pinnacle and Bet365. One to take advantage of before the odds drop I feel.
Unfortunately, that pretty much rounds out my betting on this round of matches. It’s normally easy to oppose both Benevento and Spal but the former could pick up a point against Cagliari and there is no value at all backing Juve to win against Spal this week.
Chievo are not a good side but neither are AC Milan right now. I would not be surprised if we saw a new AC Milan manager before December and Carlo Ancelotti has to figure in the board’s thoughts as they watch their side struggle under Montella.
There is no value on Napoli getting an away win against Genoa and both the Fiorentina v Torino and Sassuolo v Udinese games are to be avoided in my book.
So, small, sensible bets will hopefully see us win out and make some profit, then we can look forwards to the weekend and another round of matches.
