WynnBET and Cincinnati Reds Announce Corporate Partnership

WynnBET, the elite mobile betting brand of global leader in luxury hospitality, Wynn Resorts on Tuesday announced a new strategic corporate partnership with one of the iconic mid-west MLB teams, the Cincinnati Reds. The move comes in conjunction with WynnBET’s attempts to become a bigger player in the region with a targeted marketing effort between the Reds and… Indiana.

WynnBET has been on a major expansion spree as of late. The move to increase the brand’s exposure through the Cincinnati Reds in Indiana should give them some valuable brand exposure in that competitive market while at the same time it may put the WynnBET in front of the line to sign a similar partnership with the team in an Ohio market that the Reds call home. That state’s legal sports betting platform hasn’t gone live just yet but is pointing toward the start of the NFL season to begin operations.

The Deal

For those that follow the evolution of the US legal sports betting industry, the details of the WynnBET/Cincinnati Reds partnership deal won’t come as a surprise. Brand exposure and enhancement of the fan’s overall experience in the Indiana market is the main aim of the partnership, for both entities involved.

WynnBET gains the right to access and use official Reds marks and logos for use across its online products. Co-branding opportunities will also come with the agreement as will typical promotional opportunities for both the team and the betting provider. One of the promotions already available is a chance at Reds game tickets and Reds memorabilia for those who sign up in the Indiana market for the WynnBET app.

The multi-year deal is being viewed as a marketing play for both WynnBET and the Reds. Like other similar deals, it is expected to shed new light on both brands and give WynnBET a presence on all of the Cincinnati Reds media platforms which includes TV, radio and internet-based platforms.

WynnBET’s Major Push

WynnBET hasn’t been shy about their desire for expansion, particularly in the mid-west. Earlier this spring, WynnBET signed on with the Detroit Pistons in an attempt to infiltrate the exploding Michigan market.

This year, the betting provider became official sports betting partner of the Memphis Grizzlies, their first NBA affiliation, in a growing Tennessee market. The company has also forged a relationship with the NASCAR universe, becoming authorized gaming operator of the racing league and signing on as the “Official Online Sportsbook” of the Martinsville Speedway and Richmond Raceway.

Not Stopping There

WynnBET brass has said the company will be aiming for “rapid expansion” as we head deeper into 2021. What that looks like is anybody’s guess at this point in time. Right now, WynnBET has a presence in just New Jersey, Colorado, Michigan, Virginia, Indiana, and Tennessee with an obvious desire to build on that portfolio.

You can bet that the WynnBET name will be a frequently mentioned one in the prospective new markets that are looking to come online before the start of the NFL season this fall. Not-so-coincidentally, Ohio, the home of the Reds is on that list of jurisdictions that should be live in time to take advantage of the US betting industry’s bread-and-butter, the NFL.

WynnBET has aspirations of becoming a major name within the broader US legal sports betting industry, but the company certainly has some work to do before entering that fray. It is increasingly difficult to bet against WynnBET, however. The company seems to be pushing all the right buttons in their expansion plans with the Reds deal acting as the latest example
