Already the fifth biggest horse racing sponsor in Britain, WBX is to create genuine competition to Betfair by offering its members a better platform, more innovation, better customers service and ongoing incentives.

“In any field, it’s never good news for the consumer to have one dominant company, and our launch will ensure that the future of exchange betting will always remain in the hands of the individual,” said CEO Malcolm Gray.

“WBX will seek to offer a vibrant, exciting and innovative alternative to Betfair, and we hope this will promote healthy rivalry – competition that will ensure exchange betting continues to move forward in the long-term interests of the punter.”

“Betfair have a significant first mover advantage, so we are under no illusions about the task facing us. But I am convinced that our aim is also the vast majoprity of exchange users\’ aim – a genuine and thriving alternative in the exchange betting industry,” added Gray.

“WBX have in place a number of exciting new developments, which will benefit exchange punters, and we hope that they will respond by bringing their business to us.”
