With the UK\’s parliament expected to be dissolved on Thursday, the casino industry and the government officials have to reach an agreement on the controversial Gambling Bill before the final parliamentary statement tomorrow.

The casino industry has requested to the government officials more slot machines with bigger jackpots and the right to offer sports betting services in their establishments.

The government is offering to raise the number of slot machines from 10 to 30 and is prepared to allow the 140 existing casinos to offer £4,000 prizes in slot machines, double the current jackpot.

If the casino industry fails to obtain what it wants, it will withdraw its support from the Gambling Bill, thus

encouraging Conservative leader Michael Howard to block it.
