The online betting site reported gross winnings revenue from sports betting for £6.5m during the third quarter of 2007, down from £7.0m in the same period a year earlier, with live betting accounting for 7.3% of the total (2006: 4.8%). Unibet consolidated its leading position in Southern Europe and Scandinavia, while in the rest of Europe it lost market share despite heavy marketing investments to promote the website in more than 20 European languages.
