UK Sports Minister to ask bookmakers to support the major sports

The Guardian reports that Richard Caborn will demand UK bookmakers to contribute a share of their profits to soccer, tennis, rugby and cricket. Although a system similar to the horse racing levy is currently being considered, the bookmakers are understood to be more keen to settle for a voluntary contribution.
