The Australian wagering group UNiTAB is reconsidering an outright bid for the lottery operator Tattersall\’s, after that last week it rejected a bid from Tabcorp saying that it preferred the planned “merger of equals” agreed with Tattersall\’s in March.
“It was one of the things we looked at initially before we set up the merger,” said UNiTAB Chief Executive Dick McIlwain. “So, while it\’s something that we considered rather than are considering, it may be something that comes back into review as time goes by.”
