The man behind the Racing Post\’s tipping service Pricewise provided an incredible tenth consecutive winning Saturday for his legion of followers.
Advised at 7-2, Tax Free went as short as 7-4, before going off at 9-4 and win the William Hill Trophy.
One betting industry source said Tax Free\’s win may have cost bookies as much as 5 million.
“Tom Segal cannot be far off sainthood,” said Ladbrokes spokesman Balthazar Fabricius.
“The Racing Post must find Segal another job on Saturdays and/or give him a very long holiday which VCbet will very happily pay for,” commented VCBet spokesman Neal Wilkins.
Totesport spokesman Paul Petrie suggested that Pricewise should be renamed Priceless and that Tom Segal should be replaced by George Segal.
