Paire vs. Lorenzi
Looking now to the matches scheduled for this Monday in Paris, the contest between Benoit Paire and Paolo Lorenzi clearly deserves a closer look.

Haase vs. Verdasco
A very interesting contest is expected with Robin Haase and Fernando Verdasco fighting for a place in the 2nd round.
It hasn’t been an easy year for Verdasco with the former world no.7 winning only one of his last eight matches. Despite his undeniable quality, Fernando is far from the player he used to be. However, Verdasco is still a very dangerous player as his triumph over Rafael Nadal earlier this year at the Australian Open with 90 winners is a great example of that. This is already Fernando’s 13th consecutive appearance on this event’s main draw with the 3rd round as his best result in 2014.
Due to his low ranking, Haase had to play the qualifying stage in Paris. Although this might seem a negative thing, it’s usually an advantage for the players who make it into the main draw since they are already accustomed to the game conditions. Known for his powerful serve, Haase fired an average of 0.75 aces per service game on the qualifying, winning also 95.00% of his service games.
This will be the 6th career meeting between these two players with Haase leading on the h2h by 3 – 2.
