The action continues in the St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy with the semi-finals taking place this Saturday. Bookmakers Review breaks down the fixture below and lists the best available odds from green listed bookmakers.

Putintseva vs. Cibulkova

After Svetlana Kuznetsova’s defeat and Simona Halep’s withdrawal, Dominika Cibulkova is now the undeniable favourite to win the title in St. Petersburg. As we mentioned in our quarter-finals analysis, playing on Indoor Hard Court clearly brings the best out of Cibulkova. Looking now to Dominika’s campaign on this event, the Slovak reaches this stage of the competition after a solid straight sets victory over Elena Vesnina.

It has been an outstanding week for Yulia Putintseva. Besides securing her 4th appearance in the semi-finals of a WTA event after defeating the world no.8 – Svetlana Kuznetsova – Putintseva already assured a place in the top 30 next week for the first time in her career. Pointed as one of the most promising players of her generation, Yulia is finally living up to the expectations. However, it won’t be easy for the former junior world no.3 to present her best tennis this Saturday after spending more than 2:30 hours on court against Kuznetsova.

Due to Dominika’s higher experience and outstanding 85.71% winning record on Indoor Hard Court over the last 12 months, it’s highly unlikely to see the Slovak losing this Saturday. With this in mind, Cibulkova is the clear favourite to win this match at 7/20 at Pinnacle while Bet365 offers 5/2 for Putintseva’s triumph. For those who want to take a higher risk, Cibulkova’s -4 game handicap at 39/50 at Pinnacle is also a very good option.
