Kyrgios vs. Gasquet
Looking to the matches scheduled for this Friday on the men’s competition, one of the biggest highlights clearly goes for the contest between Nick Kyrgios and Richard Gasquet.

Kyrgios is playing at a superb level lately, before this event he played two Masters 1000 events on clay, losing only to Kei Nishikori in Madrid and Rafael Nadal in Rome, both in three close sets. Nick is a very strong player under pressure and his tie break record in 2016 is a good example of that, with the Australian winning 14 of the 16 tie breaks he played this year.

Gasquet is for the 6th consecutive year on the 3rd round of this event however, he was never able to win a match when priced as underdog, losing always when facing a higher level opponent. Despite his tremendous talent, Gasquet is known for his terrible mind-set with an extremely defensive strategy, especially on pressure points.

Not only is Kyrgios playing at a better level lately, but he’s also the stronger of the two under pressure and for those reasons, he’s fairly priced as favourite for this contest at 4/5 on William Hill while Gasquet can be found at 59/50 on Pinnacle Sports.

Simon vs. Troicki
Gilles Simon and Viktor Troicki should feature a very interesting match between two of the best defenders on tour.

After a straight sets victory on his debut against Rogerio Dutra Silva, Simon had to work very hard on his match against Guido Pella, winning that contest by 4 – 6 1 – 6 7 – 5 7 – 6 6 – 4 after more than 4:30 hours on court. Simon is looking for his 4th career appearance on the 4th round of this event, after losing on that stage last year against Stan Wawrinka.

Troicki is also looking to reach the 4th round of the French Open for the fourth time on his career. Despite being far from impressive on this event so far, Troicki showed why he’s a tremendous competitor, always finding a way to emerge victorious. On the first round he recovered from 1 – 2 down and a break in the 4th set against GrigorDimitrov while on the second round DusanLajovic retired when Troicki was leading by 2 – 1.

Simon won all their previous six meetings without losing a single set and for that reason, he’s fairly priced as favourite among Green Listed Bookmakers for this contest at 9/25 on Bet365 while Troicki is offered at 9/4 on Coral.
