Sportingbet has signed a new three year contract to use Boss software to power both its casino and poker operations for its European gambling sites. As part of the deal, Sportingbet will migrate all its poker players to the Boss network, effectively closing the Paradise Poker platform. The closure will result in a write-off of approximately £55m, representing the remaining carrying value of the poker site acquired in October 2004 for $297.5m.
