Just as players on various betting forums started to report that withdrawals from the Jazette/Jassy group of bookmakers are finally being processed in a decent amount of time, Sportsbook.com removed from a number of player accounts all winnings derived from correlated parlays dating back to September 1, while keeping player losses for all those accounts the bookmaker believes they repeatedly and knowingly exploited the system.
After examining the issue, which has been discussed extensively on US betting forums, we would like to point out that there was no system to exploit as Sportsbook.com had been accepting correlated parlays for years. Thus we believe the appropriate action would have been to change the rules and update the software to block such bets instead of retroactively stealing player winnings.
All sports books owned and serviced by Jazette Enterprises/Jassy Sports Events downgraded to 1, except BetUSA which according to SBR decided to re-write its rules on correlated parlays and to pay out on old bets.
