The Inter Church Gambling Taskforces from Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia have called on the Tasmanian Government to “come to their senses” and not grant a licence to Betfair. “We are most concerned about the potential for yet another form of gambling in Australia that will further exacerbate levels of problem gambling, that are already far too high,” said Stuart Foster, spokesman for the church groups.
