Germany\’s biggest pay-TV broadcaster will start the Premiere Win channel on August 1, allowing subscribers to place bets on sport events with its betting partners, Austrian bookmaker BetandWin and Canadian horse-racetrack operator Magna Entertainment.
Premiere saw “optimal conditions\’\’ for its entry into the betting business as it already broadcasts almost 5,000 hours of live sports coverage annually, Chief Executive Georg Kofler said in a statement.
