TAB, the retail division of the South African tote betting operator, has launched a GPRS betting application that will enable its customers to place bets on both soccer and horseracing via mobile devices such as cell phones and Pocket PCs.
The application developed by Digital Mall is set to increase the general interest in horse racing and soccer, especially with regards to the upcoming soccer World Cup to be played in South Africa in 2010.
Phumelela is also planning to sell the application to partners in Africa and other countries that have shown interest in the project.
