PartyGaming faces the threat of legal action under the Canadian Criminal Code

The group will be moving its server centre to Gibraltar from Canada’s Mohawk Territory within November, after that the online poker company conceded there are serious doubts at a federal level about if the firm’s gaming license is legitimate and whether the Kahnawake Gaming Commission had the authority to issue such a license.

“Directors have been advised that the extent of the group’s operations and presence in Canada may be sufficient for criminal or civil action to be taken,” said the float\’s prospectus.

Shares in unofficial trading are priced at the lower end of the float range (105-113p) and there is a good chance that PartyGaming may be forced to slash its float price before its full listing on June 27.
