Orbis announced that it will provide both the Australian bookmaker and the UK web portal with the OpenBet interactive gambling platform.
Centrebet will deploy a new sportsbook system and associated website, replacing existing sports betting systems that were developed in-house.
Running on the OpenBet platform, Centrebet will benefit from Orbis’s sophisticated single account solution, including management and administration tools along with the OpenBet Call Centre products. Combined with the OpenBet Marketing tools to enhance and control campaigns and promotions, the privately owned Australian company plans to continue its success on the OpenBet platform.
“The selection of Orbis as our partner for sportsbook software followed several months of detailed analysis and we attached significant value to the business tools inherent in the OpenBet system and the experience of Orbis as a solutions developer. Centrebet has a clearly defined business strategy and OpenBet has all the capabilities of delivering against our immediate and longer term requirements. The relationship with Orbis allows us to focus on our core business of bookmaking, where historically we have built and maintained production systems in-house,” said Con Kafataris, Centrebet\’s CEO.
“Working with an established name like Centrebet is an excellent opportunity for Orbis. By building a site targeted at customers in Europe and the Southern Hemisphere, Centrebet will be benefiting from our proven experience in deploying solutions specifically for high volume, established bookmakers. We’re confident we will be able to achieve a seamless transition from their existing system, and we look forward to a positive working relationship,” said David Loveday, Managing Director at Orbis.
Totesport, the internet betting arm of the UK state-owned pool betting company, will deploy a new sports betting site, call centre application and fixed odds games, using Orbis Openbet\’s single account back-office solution.
“We are confident that the combination of our heritage and experience with the Orbis OpenBet platform will enable us to effectively grow our offering to a wider and more diverse customer base,” said Keith Oliver, Managing Director of E-Gaming at the Tote.
“We are very pleased to be working with such an established name as the tote, which, like Orbis, stands for security, safety and integrity in the gambling world. As one of the leading bookmakers in the UK, we look forward to building a long-term relationship with such an important industry institution. We are confident we can provide a smooth and successful integration from their existing systems, providing the tote with even further business opportunities moving forward,” commented Loveday.
