OPAP sports betting revenues down

Despite Greece\’s betting monopoly reported an overall 17.7 per cent increase in turnover up to EUR 2.6 billion, Stihima, the company sports betting game, was down 23.3 per cent to EUR 946 million for the first nine months of the year.

Vasilis Neiadas, OPAPs Chief Executive, said the company remained optimistic about the potential of Stihima after the introduction of under/over betting, which will be soon followed by other popular forms of betting, such as live betting, and betting propositions on new sports and non-sport events.
