Ladbrokes together with Eurobet, which bid for 200 betting shops and 650 corner stores, have been two of the major protagonists of the auction organized by the Italian gaming regulator to award a total of 16,300 new betting licenses, 6,300 relating to sport and 10,000 to horse racing. The bids were unsealed during the week-end and the winners are expected to be announced soon.
