Each week in this season\’s Premier League I will be giving you the best bets on our new weekly show “Know The Score” starting next week, but before we launch the show I will tell you what I am betting on week one.
Saturday\’s fixtures look tough and in the opening week of any new season bets should be kept to a small stakes until we see some kind of form lines. One thing that I am certain of this season is that new boys Huddersfield are really going to struggle and Crystal Palace are my NAP of the weekend and the generous looking 1.83 with Bet365.
Huddersfield, just managed to get through to the Premier League via the play-offs and I saw them live last term when they were smashed 5-0 by Fulham in the Championship and the were dreadful and I expect the Eagles to put them to the sword on Saturday.
Frank de Boer takes charge at Selhurst Park for the first time and the Dutch legend will get a reaction from his young players and I think they Eagles are a decent bet to give the new manager an opening day win.
The other team that I like this weekend and they are my next best bet is Everton at the general 1.70 to beat Stoke.
No manager has been busier in the transfer market this summer than Ronald Koeman and his side have bought in some quality players with the money that Manchester United paid for striker Romelu Lukaku.
Stoke, struggled in the second half of last season and Mark Hughes might\’ve a very tough job on his hands with mutiny reported in the dressing room and I\’ve backed the Potters for the drop at 8.00 on green listed bookmakers which does look a big price when you consider they\’ve lost Marko Arnautovic, Glenn Whelan and Jonathan Walters and with no replacements coming in they could struggle in the season opener and I wouldn\’t put anyone of the Palace and Everton double this weekend.
