The UK independent bookmaker, which in October 2007 acquired the Heathorns business and the Premierbet database from the IGH administrators Begbies Traynor, is said to be considering as a gesture of goodwill to refund all Premierbet customers with unsettled balances up to £200 each.
Jenningsbet is still working on the details of the refund and plans to go ahead with it by the beginning of August.
According to the company\’s director, the refund is to cost Jennings a seven figure payout and it would see over 90 per cent of the owed players paid in full.
While we do not agree with these figures, this is definitely a positive upturn in the Premierbet fiasco and we remind players Jenningsbet was under no obligation (legal or otherwise) to offer a refund. Hence we also invite all players to wait for an official announcement before start contacting Jennings about the refund.
