The Isle of Man Department of Trade and Industry received numerous inquiries from businesses that wish to relocate to a well-regulated jurisdiction, during last week\’s International Casino Exhibition (ICE) in London.
John Gilmore, the government\’s e-gaming ambassador, said: “We have been pleased with the level of interest that our recent publicity has generated worldwide. The inquiries received at ICE have been much more mature and reflect the increased level of awareness of the benefits offered by the Island. I believe this will translate into new business on the Island later this year.”
The government has been working with the private sector, over the past 18 months, to steer the Island towards a “balanced environment that combines a high standard of regulation with a compelling commercial and licensing package.”
In parallel to attracting quality e-gaming operators, there have been also related software and payment providers looking to establish operations in the Island.
