According to two congressional aides, efforts to fast-track the passage of the internet gambling bill in the Senate have run into the opposition from casino and horse racing industry groups. “There is always a chance that differences can be resolved and the Senate could vote before the August recess, but not a very good one at this point,” one aide said.
