According to BetandWin and Sportingbet, Hungarian banks Inter-Europa, Citibank, MKB and K&H are blocking credit cards payments to online betting sites.
MKB and K&H justified their action with the high rate of card fraud in the internet betting industry, but Sportingbet had already been at the center of a dispute when in February 2006, the Hungarian Gambling Commission claimed that Sportingbet\’s advertising in Hungary was illegal.
