The Premier League Easter “super” Sunday promises to be a fascinating watch with Jose Mourino hosting his former club Chelsea at Old Trafford.
“The Special One” would\’ve been hurt by the reaction from the Chelsea fans and his side\’s performance in the 4-0 drubbing United that they were handed at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season and he will love to gain revenge by derailing the Blues\’ title hopes with a win at the weekend.
During that heavy defeat, the Chelsea fans were taunting their former manager with “You\’re not special anymore” and he will be fired up to get a win and that might spill onto the pitch.
United\’s last Premier League defeat was in that infamous clash at Stamford Bridge back in October but it\’s a very different United side that they face now.
Back then United were struggling for any form and were missing key players for the clash including star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic, this time around they are at full strength and confidence sky high after just one defeat in their last 17, which was a 1-0 loss also at the hands of Chelsea in the FA Cup.
The bookies are finding it very hard to find a clear favourite and with just one defeat at Old Trafford, all season the layers have gone slightly with United who are a top-price 2.80 with Bet365 with Chelsea a 2.85 chance with most firms.
This looks very hard to call and whenever the bookies can\’t split the two, I always like to back the draw and at the general 3.20, the biggest price of all three match outcomes that has to be the bet again especially as United have drawn NINE Premier League games at home this season.
Antonio Conte knows that his Chelsea side can come here for a point and that will be a good result with some winnable home matches approaching and the tactics from both are expected to be very defensive and I can\’t see many goals.
In EIGHT of the last 10 United games under 2.5 goals has been a winning bet which has also come in their last four home matches and at 1.72 with Paddy Power that looks the banker and I also like under 1.5 which looks a spot of value as well at the general 3.00.
Even though this is the biggest match of the Easter weekend I really can\’t see it being the best and I can\’t see hardly any goal action and at a standout 10.00 with Betfred, it might pay to have a couple of quid on no goalscorer in the match.
STAR: Under 2.5 goals at Old Trafford again at 8/11 with Paddy Power.
NEXT BEST: A draw for Mourino against his former side at 11/5 with most green listed bookmaker.
OUTSIDER: No goal scorer in an Easter Sunday bore draw at 9/1 with Betfred.
