This year\’s event had an increased emphasis on the i-gaming sector with the introduction of the ICEi section of the exhibition dedicated solely to the “fast moving world of i-Gaming.”
UK betting software developer Orbis launched its new Openbet Casino, an open solution for online casinos that gives operators the ability to customize their games offering choosing from Orbis\’ games or from other suppliers, with seamless integration and rapid deployment.
“The big advantage of this product is its flexibility. Openbet Casino can be integrated into any sportsbook, mobile or poker site, including its single account and multiplayer – multilingual capability,” said a spokesman for the company.
Gaming solutions provider Gextech announced the completion of a deal with SkyBet to supply their virtual football game, ‘Fantastic League’. SkyBet, the interactive betting arm of satellite broadcaster BSkyB, is set to launch Fantastic League on Sky Vegas Live in May 2006.
Through a versatile technology and unparalleled 3D graphics, Fantastic League is able to reproduce complex team sports and provides the same betting opportunities as real live football. The league will consist of 12 different teams playing in a weekly league and cup competition. Matches will be held every six minutes with live commentary on the play.
“It is our strong belief that the addition of Fantastic League as a betting product linked to the world’s most popular sport with its appeal and familiarity, will further enhance SkyBet’s portfolio of betting opportunities,” said Mark Campbell, Gextech Chairman.
Campbell added that the strength of the technology developed by Gextech will allow the development of the concept not only for other team sports, but also for the internet and mobile platforms as well as for the betting shops.
