Shares in the internet betting operator closed the day up 57 per cent at EUR 6.75 after the Germany\’s Federal Cartel Office ruled that a boycott of its business by state-owned lottery companies is illegal. According to the ruling, the recent cancellation of lottery-service contracts with Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Brandenburg is part of the boycott and therefore void.

The Federal Competition Authority, which already warned Germany\’s state-owned lottery companies against obstructing Fluxx, said the ruling will have immediate effect and those maintaining the boycott will be fined substantially.
