Football Betting Tips – Liverpool vs Everton

After the international dross of last week the Premier League returns with a bang at the weekend with some big games at the top of the table.

Saturday lunchtime sees the biggest game of the weekend with the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton at Anfield and despite both of these arch-rivals not involved in the title shake-up, this still promises to be a decent watch for the neutrals.

Liverpool have let punters down at odds-on more than ANY side in the top half of the table this season and they are odds on favourites again as short as just 1.66 generally with most green listed bookmakers to gain local bragging rights, but can they be trusted?

Jurgen Klopp side is still in the hunt for a top-four finish to get themselves into the valuable Champions League places for next season and of the two they probably do need the win more, but with home losses to Swansea, Wolves, and Southampton in recent weeks I certainly won\’t be rushing to take the short prices on offer at the weekend.

Everton arrive in this one in good form with just one defeat in their last nine, but their recent record in the Merseyside derby is shocking with NO wins in the last 13 and that is a big concern.

Ronald Koeman\’s side are 5.50 at Betfair to finally get a win for the Blue half of the city and their awful record is putting me off  having a wager on them, but I am all over goals in this one as Everton have now scored in their last seven away games and Romelu Lukaku is bang in form and both teams to score at the general 1.72 which does looks the best bet in the match and I am taking the giant Belgium striker to score again and keep his hopes of being the Premier League top goalscorer alive at 2.75 with Paddy Power.
