An unidentified official told Reuters the European Commission said there is clear evidence that France has breached EU internal market rules. Despite French betting laws have been under investigation since last September, the French Parliament recently promulgated a new law imposing Internet Service providers to block illegal gambling websites and financial institutions to stop transactions to and from foreign betting sites.
