Casino association considers alternative to online gambling prohibition

Frank Fahrenkopf, President of the American Gaming Association, said the board members of the AGA will meet in Las Vegas on December 6 to discuss whether to ask the next Congress to establish an independent research study on the prospects and feasibility of regulating internet gambling in the United States.

In the meantime, at least five internet companies have pulled out of the Global Gaming Expo and many more have cancelled plans to send executives to the industry conference in Las vegas.
