Bundesliga Betting Predictions for Week 15

Bayern Munich have gone in to just 1/3 to win the Bundesliga this season after beating Hannover comfortably last weekend. Their closest challengers, RB Leipzig, were thrashed at Hoffenheim and the gap is now six points between first and second. Borussia Dortmund’s fall from grace gathers apace and it is fast turning into a one-horsed race again. There is intrigue at the other end of the table though, as big clubs like Werder Bremen and Hamburg look in serious trouble. There is a full schedule of fixtures at the weekend and here are some of the most interesting games:

Stuttgart v Bayer Leverkusen

Newly promoted Stuttgart are 13th in the table and have started the season in inconsistent form. However, they have been superb at home: they are still unbeaten at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, having won five and drawn one of their six games. On the road they have earned just one point from eight games, and that has left them in trouble, but at home they have really excelled. Leverkusen are another team that is still unbeaten at home but they have been average away, winning two of seven games, and they are unlikely to end Stuttgart’s run. Stuttgart-draw double chance looks a strong option at 3/4 with Marathon Bet and 7/10 with Ladbrokes and Bet Victor.

Eintracht Frankfurt v Bayern Munich

Bayern have improved enormously since replacing Carlo Ancelotti with former treble-winning boss Jupp Heynckes. They have won four of their last five games and are asserting their dominance over the Bundesliga once again. They may be tired from a midweek game against PSG, but they should still have enough left in the tank to see of a middling Eintracht Frankfurt team. The hosts have the third worst home record in the league, the Commerzbank Arena is not exactly a fortress and they should not cause Bayern too many problems on Saturday. Eintracht have not beaten Bayern since 2010, but it is worth bearing in mind that they have held out for a point in their last two home meetings against the German champions. However, they lost their last home game against Bayer Leverkusen and they are ripe for the picking here, so the 8/15 available at Betway looks a good price.

RB Leipzig v Mainz

Leipzig suffered a demoralising defeat at the weekend but they should be able to get back to winning ways here. This is another case of a team with a strong home record coming up against a side with a poor away record. RB Leipzig have won five and drawn one of their six home games, while Mainz have yet to record an away win. RB Leipzig to win and over 2.5 goals looks tempting at 7/5 with Bet Victor as Mainz have scored in each of their last five matches, while Leipzig average over 2.5 goals per game at home.

FC Koln v Freiburg

Koln recorded just their third point of the season when they battled to a 2-2 draw with high-flying Schalke at the weekend. They are yet to win and are bottom of the league by a long distance, but that draw will have given them a much needed morale boost. Now is the perfect opportunity for them to pick up their first victory of the campaign as Freiburg have lost five out of six games on the road and are also in relegation danger. Green-listed bookmaker, Marathon Bet has 31/25 on the home win and Ladbrokes has 15/13 and those look like appealing prices. Koln have been poor but they finished fifth in the league last season and have kept the majority of that team together, so they are due a revival.
