TOTTENHAM will be hoping to end their Wembley hoodoo on Sunday when they host Burnley at the national stadium.
Since Spurs\’ moved into their temporary home things haven\’t gone at all well, losing their opening game of the season and also losing two of the three matches in last season Champions League games which were also played at Wembley, but the layers believe, and so do I that they will get back to winning ways at the weekend and they are a general 1.25 to do just that.
I fancy Spurs\’ for the win , but their long term hopes I am not so confident of as they will certainly find it difficult this season as sides like Burnley will raise their games when they come to visit and they will find it hard to adjust to their new surroundings just as West Ham did last season when they moved into the London Stadium.
Burnley\’s, last visit to London was a famous one with an opening day 3-2 win at champions Chelsea and even at odds of 15.00 with Paddy Power, I can\’t make a case for another famous win for the Claret\’s in the capital.
The one thing that Burnley manger Sean Dyche will do is have his team set-up to defend and although they don\’t offer much of a goal threat they will make life very difficult for Spurs\’ and under 2.5 goals in the game looks a decent shout at the general 2.25 with most bookies.
I believe the home side will just edge a close one and their extra quality will shine through on the big, wide Wembley pitch and another bet I like is for Spurs\’ to win this to nil which is 1.88 with Coral.
