As reported by Bloomberg, BetonSports lawyer Jeffrey Demerath did not show up at the arraignment hearing in St Louis, where the online sportsbook was to face charges of violating US gambling laws. Demerath said in an interview that his client instructed him not to appear. “I hope Mr. Demerath can talk sense to his client so we can work something out,” commented prosecutor Michael Fagan.
