BetonSports directors to be arrested for disregard of court\’s proceedings

Bloomberg reports that federal prosecutors said the internet sportsbook, which failed to appear in St. Louis federal court to answer on gambling and racketeering charges, should be cited for contempt of court. BetonSports lawyer Jeffrey Demerath said his client instructed him not to appear in court. US prosecutor Michael Fagan said the Betonsports\’ decision suggests that corporate management is contemptuous and defiant and asked Judge Jackson to impose fines on the company or order that its directors be arrested for their willful disregard of the court\’s proceedings.
