Lawyers on both sides told US District Judge Carol Jackson at a hearing held in St Louis that they have reached an agreement on the civil lawsuit. BetonSports said it was also trying to work out the criminal charges.
BetonSports defense attorney Jeffrey Demerath said the final agreement on the permanent order restraining the online sportsbook from taking bets in the US was not to be taken as an admission of guilt on the part of the company.
Demerath also said he did not know any details of customer refunds.
