Under the terms of the deal, all the betting kiosks and corporate areas at Old Trafford will be re-branded, while a co-branded Betfred/Manchester United website will be offering poker, casino and traditional betting to United fans. Betfred will also be creating fans’ events and linking up with MUTV with gaming specials for viewers.
“This is a dream come true,” commented Betfred boss and lifelong Manchester United fan Fred Done. “I’ve been a season ticket holder at United for 45 years and the opportunity to be an official partner was a deal I could not pass up. I’m a mad red and have the utmost respect for Sir Alex.”
“Betfred is a growing world-wide brand and is one of the most respected of all UK bookmakers. Fred’s business acumen together with his love for the club can only be good for our fans and our business,” commented Manchester United’s CEO David Gill.
