The betting exchange has launched an investigation into suspicious betting patterns surrounding a Russian soccer league match between FC Luch-Energia Vladivostok and FC Tom Tomsk, which reportedly attracted more than £800,000 in correct score bets. About 100 times more than what would normally be bet on such an obscure match.
A controversial penalty won the match for FC Luch-Energia Vladivostok and prompted the investigation of Betfair\’s integrity division.
