NetScaler Inc. announced that Betfair, the world’s leading online betting exchange, has deployed the NetScaler 9000 Series to improve response times, server performance and security of its betting service.
Queen’s Award winner Betfair, since the NetScaler\’s deployment, has reduced bandwidth operational costs by 33% and accelerated application performance by 20% thereby significantly improving the end user experience.
With page views standing at 100 million per day, 1.5 million bets taken daily and a new multi-lingual site, Betfair prompted the need to upgrade its infrastructure and optimize the networks to deliver more secure and accelerated applications to its global audience. The company evaluated a range of competitive products in its high-end test labs and found that the NetScaler 9000 Series was the clear winner.
