The online betting exchange announced the acquisition of Aglet Technologies, a Danish-based software company, and PokerChamps, a popular poker platform.
The new organization will operate as Betfair Denmark helping in the development of the company’s own poker platform and integrated games platform.
In separate news, Boss Media signed Virgin Poker, part of Virgin Games, to its platform ending a long search by the latter to find the partner for the relaunch of its poker site.
A Virgin Poker spokesman said that the company believes, despite the rapid growth of online poker over the last few years, that there is still a large untapped market as the game develops as a natural entertainment choice.
In the US, Bluff Magazine, America’s largest poker magazine, announced a deal with ESPN.com to provide poker-related content and information to the ESPN Poker Club section of the leading sports site.
