In the first of three hearings, the online betting exchange explained the seven Justices of the High Court of Australia how the current WA’s ban of betting exchanges is anti-constitutional as it represents an unreasonable restriction of trade across state borders. Betfair was criticized by Justice Kirby, who was not too happy with the company’s decision to take the case before the High Court in first instance.
