The London-based bookmaker confirmed during a meeting in Rome organized by its Italian subsidiary, BetShopItalia, that it intends to list on AIM, London\’s junior market, possibly before next year.
BetShop operates over 500 LBO outlets in Italy, 5 in Cyprus, 5 in Lebanon and 3 in Romania. The company holds gaming licenses in the UK and Curacao. An overview of its key financial indicators for 2004/5 showed a total group turnover of over EUR 100 million.
In separate news, Inspired Gaming Group, the leading player in the UK Server Based Gaming market and provider of analogue machines for the leisure and gaming markets, completed its successful floatation on London’s Alternative Investment Market. Inspired, which placed 60 million ordinary shares at a price of 180p, has an initial market capitalization of around £115m.
