Belgian court to investigate Unibet

Although the Belgian Government is planning to grant casino gambling licenses to some internet operators, online betting on sports remains illegal and now the Court of Gent is investigating Unibet.com, which according to the Belgian National Lottery is operating illegally. Unibet CEO Peter Nylander said that such an initiative is the result of the protectionist policies of European Governments aimed to defend their State gambling monopolies.
