21 soccer players investigated in Italy for illegal betting

Italian prosecutors have found evidence of bets made by soccer players between 1998 and 2005, totaling more than £7m. Players involved, including AC Milan\’s midfielder Marek Jankulovski and goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac, Palermo striker David Di Michele and Udinese striker Vincenzo Iaquinta, now face lengthy bans from the Italian soccer federation, FIGC.
