For sports bettors, a wild time of year with college and pro football, the NBA, NHL, and the Baseball Playoffs. That’s a lot to keep track of and we are doing our best to help by breaking down all sorts of betting information designed to inform and add tidbits of fun as you will see. Good luck this weekend and enjoy yourself.

About Last Night…

MLB Playoffs

The New York Yankees continue to be a one-trick pony. Though both runs New York scored in losing 3-2 to Houston were not home runs, they have now played nine straight games in which they had six or fewer hits.

The Pinstripes are back in action down 0-2 to Houston. Maybe the Yanks can turn it around, but there is this nugget.

NFL

Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit finally got to talk about touchdowns on a Thursday night with Arizona winning 42-34 over New Orleans. The Saints as 2.5-point underdogs out-gained the Cardinals by 168 yards, but three Andy Dalton picks did them in.

NCAAF

Virginia committed four sloppy turnovers but dominated the line of scrimmage against Georgia Tech on the road (410-206 yardage difference) to win 16-9 as 3.5-point road underdogs. In truth, the Cavaliers should have won by 14 or more.

Also, in a good game few witnessed, Troy (+2.5) went on the road and hung on to beat South Alabama 10-6. The Trojans now control the destiny to reach the Sun Belt title game and are an excellent defense squad.

NBA

With no Khris Middleton or Pat Connaughton, Milwaukee (+4.5) didn’t look like they had enough offense to stay with Philadelphia. That was true in scoring only 90 points, yet the Bucks had more than enough defense and held the Sixers to 88 for the two-point triumph.

The Buzz

NFL – San Francisco Means Business

The one thing San Fran GM John Lynch has always shown, he wants to win. Making the trade for running back Christian McCaffrey was a decisive move and gives the 49ers one of the most versatile offenses in the NFL.

Keeping McCaffrey healthy will not be simple given the last two years, but if he is, the Niners look ready when they get their other starters back on the field.

At Bovada (visit our Bovada Review), the Niners fell from -1800 to -1400 futures betting odds to win the Super Bowl. (5th overall)

MLB Playoffs – Jose Can You See…

Houston’s Jose Altuve is now the record holder going without a hit at 0-23 in the postseason. The Astros are 5-0 in the playoffs despite Altuve’s horrific slump. Imagine what Houston could do if he starts hitting.

World Cup Soccer – What Could Go Wrong

According to Front Office Sports, Qatar’s government will require all World Cup visitors to download data-tracking apps on their phones.

Maybe it’s nothing but this sounds nefarious.

Using your feet for soccer.

NFL – Packers Looking for a Pass Catcher

Rumors are flying that the Green Bay Packers are interested in wide receivers D.J. Moore and Chase Claypool. The Steelers receiver makes more sense as his contract fits more with the Packers. They need to do something.

Who is Right?

On Friday night in the NBA, New Orleans visits Charlotte. Both are off impressive opening-game victories. The total has plummeted from 231 to 226.5 and 84% of the money on the Under is driving the market. Yet, as of 02:30 EDT, 70% of wagers made were still on the Over. Who do you think is correct?

Let’s get some winners! Have an awesome weekend and see you back here Monday.
